St Mary’s will now be open as usual each Sunday at 9:30am. This may change if a further lockdown is announced. Please note that online services will still take place for those who are unable to attend in person.

From the Vicar:

“It was lovely to see so many of you in church on Easter Sunday. We hope to be worshipping in
church from now on and I’m sure we are all hoping and praying that we do not have another
lockdown. We are happy to continue delivering these service sheets for as long as you need them,
but if you plan to be in church regularly on a Sunday and do not need a sheet please can you let
me know (email katherinetiltman@gmail.com or text or ring 07753230644) and I can take you off
the list.

At some point too we need to have a Church Committee meeting in each church. We can do this
as soon as we can meet socially distanced in church.

We will need to elect church officers, at St Mary’s we are looking at a new warden as Berwyn
wishes to stand down. Jean is happy to continue for another year and to help whoever takes over.
Berwyn is willing to take over as treasurer and we have him to thank for keeping us solvent over
the last year. Mary Jones has finished organising the flowers and so if you feel able to help here
please let me know. I would like to thank both Berwyn and Mary for their contribution to St Mary’s,
we really do appreciate it. Please do consider whether you are able to take over as a warden at St
Mary’s and if you wish to discuss what it entails please let me know.

I am assuming the officers at St John’s and All Saints will stay the same as there have been more
recent changes, and all the churches will need to be thinking about a future that includes an
interregnum from the end of September. Thank you to all who have worked to keep our churches
open over the past year.

All Saints Church will revert to an 11am service from Pentecost (23rd May) and we are making
changes to the pattern of services at St John’s and All Saints to make the zoom service possible
and to ensure that we have a pattern of services that can continue once I have retired.

The pattern will be as displayed below:

1st Sunday of monthHoly Communion at St John’s, non-Eucharistic Family Service at All Saints.
2nd Sunday of the monthMorning Prayer at St John’s, Holy Communion at All Saints.
3rd Sunday of the monthHoly Communion at St John’s, Morning Prayer at All Saints.
4th Sunday of monthMorning Prayer at St John’s, Holy Communion at All Saints.
5th Sunday of monthJoint Mission Area service (Offa mission area).

We will be looking at a new service of Morning Prayer that we can use at St Mary’s as well as St
John’s and All Saints. If you wish to contribute ideas to this service please let myself or Trish know.

God Bless, Kate.”
